Wood-fired plates and shareable appetizers for a group table at Tiago's

Host Your Group at The Rim

Birthdays, office lunches, sports teams, and family reunions all land well at Tiago's Cabo Grille. Our dining room at The Rim is built for shared plates, pitchers of margaritas, and long tables of friends catching up. This page walks you through what to expect when you dine with six or more guests in the restaurant. For food served off-site at your venue, see our Catering page instead.

How to Plan a Group Visit

1. Pick your date and head count. Weekday lunches and early dinners are easiest for large tables. Give us your best guest estimate when you call so we can hold the right section.

2. Call The Rim ahead of time. Dial 210-881-2700 and ask for a manager or host. We can note allergies, high chairs, or a birthday dessert request on your reservation.

3. Review the menu with your group. Wood-fired fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, and seafood plates travel well to the center of the table. Browse the full Menu online so guests can decide before they arrive.

4. Arrive a few minutes early. Parking near Bass Pro and the Palladium fills quickly on weekends. Directions and hours are on our Locations page.

5. Ask about Happy Hour timing. Weekday Happy Hour runs 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with half-price appetizers and drink specials. Details are listed on the Happy Hour page if your group wants to meet right after work.

What Works Well for Groups

Start with chips, salsa, and tableside guacamole so everyone has something while orders fire on the wood grill. Fajita platters and combination plates let guests mix proteins without crowding the kitchen. Pure agave margaritas and house mojitos are easy to order by the pitcher for tables that want one round for the group.

Dessert is worth planning ahead. Mexican chocolate cake with cinnamon ice cream is a crowd favorite and can be added when your server takes final orders. Join Cabo Club before your visit if you want email offers that sometimes include dollars off a future meal.

On-Site Dining vs. Catering

Group dining at the restaurant means you eat in our dining room with full bar service and our regular menu. Catering is the better fit when you need delivery, buffet setup, or staff at an outside venue. Weddings, galas, and corporate events off-site should start with a quote on the catering page. When your party wants the full Tiago's atmosphere with a live grill line and bar, staying at The Rim is the right call.
